Fly Fishing Classes & Instruction

For chicks who want to learn something new without the pressure to already know how. We teach the fundamentals in a low-key, beginner-friendly setting. No experience necessary, no waders required, and no one expecting you to speak fluent jargon. Just a relaxed space to learn the rhythm of casting and maybe surprise yourself with how into it you get!

About Riveredge

No experience required (but curiosity helps)

Riveredge Fly Fishing was created as a place for women to learn fly fishing without pressure, posturing, or the sense that you’re late to the game.

We focus on the fundamentals (casting, knots, gear, reading water and such) taught in a way that’s approachable and relaxed. Classes are small, questions are encouraged, and everything starts on dry land.

Whether you're just curious or already knee-deep in YouTube tutorials, you’re welcome here. Our goal is to make fly fishing feel less like an intimidating mystery and more like something you can actually enjoy (and be good at)!

You don’t need special equipment or prior knowledge, just a bit of interest and maybe a free morning!

Classes & Clinics

Small group classes designed to make fly fishing approachable and fun. We’ll cover the basics (gear, casting, reading water, and the like) without the gatekeeping or pressure. Just space to learn, ask questions, and try something new alongside other women.

1:1 Instruction

Personalized, patient instruction that meets you where you are, whether you’ve never held a rod or want to build confidence on the water. We’ll go at your pace, focusing on skills, mindset, and making time outside feel like your own.

Detailed Offerings

A welcoming intro to fly fishing with no experience necessary. We’ll cover gear basics, how to set up your rod, basic knot tying, and foundational casting techniques. You’ll walk away with a better understanding of what’s what, and maybe even the confidence to try it on your own!
